Midwest League Champion South Bend Cubs announce 2023 schedule

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The 2022 Midwest League Champion South Bend Cubs have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2023 season.

The Cubs will come out of hibernation on Tuesday, April 11 for opening night at Four Winds Field and will start the season against the Beloit Sky Carp in game one of a six-game series.

Gates for the season-opener will open at 6 p.m. and first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

Team President Joe Hart is looking forward to the upcoming season as the Cubs look to carry-on with momentum that the 2019 championship team lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Our home opener is going to be extra special in 2023. On April 11, not only will we be able to celebrate the 2022 Midwest League Championship in grand style, but it will also be the first game with our brand-new video board," said Hart.

Most start times for games played Tuesday through Saturday will begin at 7:05 p.m., and Sunday games will start at 2:05 p.m.

The Cubs plan to host 16 fireworks shows throughout the 2023 season as well as 18 giveaway nights.
