Michigan monitoring potential coronavirus cases in the state

LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Health is monitoring hundreds in the state for potential cases of the coronavirus, now known as COVID-19.

The Department says that 325 individuals are classified as medium risk, and have all been to mainland China in the past weeks.

Five people have been tested by MDHHS but all results came back negative.

No individuals have been placed in quarantined at this time, but all are being monitored based on symptoms or a change in symptoms.

So far there have been 13 cases of the virus on U.S. soil, the latest of which is in California.
