Michigan City's Washington Park to have special parking fees for July 4
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Michigan City Parks & Recreation Department announced on Friday that there will be a special events parking fee on Thursday, July 4.
"Cars and motorcycles without a Washington Park parking sticker will be charged $40 to park. All other vehicles, including motorhomes, trucks with trailers, or buses, without a Washington Park parking sticker will be charged $80," officials said.
"Please bring your current vehicle registration card (the temporary, 8 1/2" x 11" paper copy will not be accepted). If you live outside of the civil city limits, but own property within the civil city limits, please bring your current vehicle registration card and a utility bill or tax bill with the address of the property you own. The name on the vehicle registration must match the name on the tax or utility bill."
The last day to get a Washington Park parking sticker is Wednesday, July 3, by 6 p.m.
Regular parking fees will resume on Friday, July 5.
