Michigan City man found guilty of reckless homicide in father’s death

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A Michigan City man was convicted of reckless manslaughter in the death of his father, according to the La Porte County Prosecuting Attorney.
Joshua Wozniak was arrested in February 2019 on one count of dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death.
Wozniak’s father, Larry Wozniak, was found dead on January 24, 2019. Tips from the family led investigators to believe Larry’s death was drug related.
On January 17, 2020, Wozniak was found guilty of reckless homicide in his father’s death.
The reckless homicide charge was added just before trial.
