Michiana Food Free Trunk or Treat scheduled for October 23
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The third annual Michiana Food Free Trunk or Treat will take place on October 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Elkhart Environmental Center.
The event, which offers trick-or-treaters non-food treats to enjoy, was inspired by children with special medical needs that cannot participate in candy and food-filled trick-or-treating events.
This includes children dealing with food allergies, diabetes, feeding tubes, Autism, and other special needs.
However, all kids and families are invited to join in on the fun.
This year’s event will be a contactless drive-thru experience. Participants are asked to stay in their vehicles and have their trunks open upon arrival so volunteers can place goodie bags inside.
Kids can look forward to getting treats like coloring pages, books, and more in their bags.
If you or your business would like to volunteer or donate items, contact event organizers by email at [email protected] or through Facebook.
