Employees at Merchants Metal in New Paris were notified this week the company is shutting the facility down and consolidating production in Houston. All 68 employees will be out of a job.
The company makes chain link and other fence products.
Workers were told Monday night, but the official layoffs don't begin until March 20.
Company officials said employees will get a severance package.
