BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—Meteorologist Emily Kennedy spoke with Nick Schirripa, the communications representative for the Michigan Department of Transportation, Southwest Region, on Tuesday morning about the region's road conditions.
Schirripa said that crews are out cleaning up after snow fell in the area overnight and spent Monday afternoon preparing for the task.
“This is our first big snow of the year,” Schirripa said. “I’ve seen between 40 and 60 trucks on the road in the region this morning.”
Multiple crashes were reported in Berrien County on Tuesday morning. Our crews in the field also reported seeing a few slide-offs.
