                        Benton Township Police Department                                                    BENTON HARBOR, Mich.-- Across the United States, TikTok posts have gone viral amidst the government shutdown in which individuals are organizing mass lootings at Walmart and other retail store locations.
Benton Township Police Department is and will continue to coordinate with local retailers on the best way to handle situations such as this.
BTPD says that the number one priority is every individual's safety.
The majority of Benton Township retail stores have security cameras both inside and outside that can capture the license plates of individuals who participate in these mass lootings.
Patrol officers in the business area have also been increased to deter participation.
