Man who drove into Cook Nuclear Plant barrier officially charged

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- The Berrien County Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Wednesday that the man who attempted to drive through a security barrier at Cook Nuclear Plant a week ago has officially been charged. 

Twenty-six-year-old Samuel Adams has been charged with:

  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Being a prohibited person in possession of a weapon
  • Felony firearm
  • Resisting and obstructing a police officer
  • Aggravated Assault

Authorities say Adams has a pre-exam conference on Friday, March 14 and his preliminary examination will be on Thursday, March 20, unless adjourned on Friday.
