Man shot to death during domestic dispute
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Michigan City Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot during a domestic dispute early Monday morning.
Dispatch received a 9-1-1- around 2 a.m. from someone who heard gunshots in the 3300 block of Franklin Street.
When police arrived, they located the residence where the gunshots originated.
Inside the home, officers located 34-year-old James L. Grott deceased in side the home with a possible gunshot wound, reports said.
The detective bureau responded and took over the investigation.
The scene was processed and police conducted interviews.
The preliminary investigation revealed a physical domestic dispute led to the shooting, police said.
No arrests have been made.
