MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Police Department reports officers responded to a stabbing at the Home 2 Suites at 211 E. Day Rd. around 2:30 a.m., Friday.

Police say there was an argument between a 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman.

The report states at some point during the argument the man was stabbed in the hip.

Police say the wound wasn't serious, but he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The man has since been treated and released from the hospital and was subsequently arrested on a felony charge of domestic violence battery criminal confinement.

He is currently at the St. Joseph County Jail.
