Man found dead in La Porte County pond identified

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A man found dead on Friday in La Porte County was identified by the La Porte County Coroner's Office on Sunday.
According to reports, Joseph Clopton, 47, of Chicago was identified as the man found dead in the pond.
He was found at 10 a.m. in Lincoln Township on Friday.
Clopton has been missing from Chicago for weeks and was last seen in Eaglewood on December 16, police say.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
