SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Police arrested a man who allegedly attacked a woman and led officers on a vehicle chase on two separate occasions, officials say.
While attempting to initiate a traffic stop in late November at the Four Winds South Bend parking garage, officials say that officers spotted a man, later identified as 48-year-old Anthony Blatz, who was allegedly attacking a woman.
Blatz then got into his vehicle, drove away from the scene and lost the officers during a chase, officials say.
Officials say that police were able to identify the man as Blatz after using surveillance video from the casino that shows images of the attack.
After obtaining a search warrant, police located Blatz in Elkhart County where he, again, got into his vehicle and began a chase with the officers, officials say.
Police eventually caught up, stopped and arrested Blatz.
