Man and woman arrested on 11 total warrants in La Porte County Monday night

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A late-night traffic stop on U.S. 20 resulted in the arrested of two people on a combined 11 warrants in La Porte County around 11:14 p.m. Monday.
The La Porte County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was patrolling U.S. 20 in the area of C.R. 125 West when they spotted a speeding vehicle and initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of S.R. 39 and U.S. 20.
"The driver verbally identified himself as 'Torris' Head and a rear seat passenger verbally identified herself as Shantae S. Spencer," the LCSO said. "As the traffic stop progressed, the three occupants were invited to exit the vehicle."
The name 'Torris' was found to be an alias for that of 61-year-old Aaron L. Head, and deputies learned both Head and 31-year-old Spencer were both wanted for "a whole host of offenses."
The pair was taken into custody and transported to the La Porte County Jail.
Head is facing charges of:
- Possession of Cocaine, L6 Felony
- Identity Deception, L6 Felony
- Nine Arrest Warrants (Kidnapping F4, Fraud F5, Theft F6)
Spencer was arrested on two outstanding arrest warrants for Failure to Appear and Failure to Comply.
Both are being held at the LCJ without bond.
