SOUTH BEND, Ind. - With proms happening all around the country right, here in South Bend, the Logan Center, a local non-profit that serves adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, put on a prom for their own clients.
“I'm excited for the Logan prom with everyone else and having a good time,” said Aaliyah Miles, a prom attendee.
Prom-goers had the chance to dress up in their best dresses and suits, hit the dance floor, and have fun with friends.
“Tonight, just chilling out with my friends and hanging out with my friends, getting to know the new people,” said Cindy Phillips, a prom attendee.
The prom was complete with an ice cream bar, drink station, great food, and the best hits, courtesy of Big Perm from U93.
Organizers with the Logan Center say it's important for their clients to experience prom like everybody else.
Sarah Mackin, the Logan Center Wellness Program Manager, said, "They look forward, the excitement is worth every second, so we love to throw this every year."
People at Sunday's event say they can't wait for next year's prom.
