BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Workers in Benton Harbor could be impacted by some upcoming Whirlpool layoffs as part of the corporation's cost-cutting effort.
ABC57 reached out to Whirlpool Thursday, and they responded with a statement saying:
"The first wave of global headcount actions occurred in March, and we anticipate the second wave of actions to be announced no later than early May. Both waves combined will eliminate approximately 1,000 salaried roles globally. These are not easy choices, but we know they are required to secure the long-term success of the company."
