Lake Michigan Hills celebrates its 66th annual Chamber Golf Outing

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Lake Michigan Hills celebrated their 66th annual Chamber Golf Outing.

This long-standing event raises funds for the chamber to promote Southwest Michigan's downtowns and businesses.

"We support a lot of you know policy advocacy in our in our community. We're trying to draw people here to Michigan to want to you know work here, play here, and raise a family because it's an absolutely beautiful, beautiful state, and we love Southwest Michigan in general,” said Jasmine Hansen, the Southwest Michigan Regional Chambers Events Director.

Despite the heat the event was sold out with 31 teams and approximately 18 sponsors, with activities including a wager hole and putting contest.

"You know anything that we raise today goes back to the chamber to help us continue to help businesses grow, starts as well as networking. We connect new businesses with old businesses, even old businesses with old businesses. So, we do a lot of connecting, relationship building," said Hansen.
