It’s going to be another snowy day Tuesday for counties closest to Lake Michigan.

A winter weather advisory is in place in LaPorte and St. Joe Counties in Indiana, in addition to Berrien and Cass Counties in Michigan, as these are the areas with highest lake effect snow totals today – likely over three inches of snow. Parts of Berrien County could see six inches of snow.

This won’t all fall in one short period, it adds up slowly. Snow this morning may briefly lull this afternoon, before starting up again this evening and overnight. Be cautious of slick, snowy roads for your morning and evening commute today. Snow tapers off Wednesday morning.

This afternoon temperatures climb into the mid teens, but wind chills will feel cooler than this. Temperatures dip dangerously low tonight. Wind chills Wednesday morning may feel like the negative teens.

Wednesday afternoon the high is only 12 degrees, then temperatures fall again near zero by Thursday morning.

There’s a brief jump to temperatures near 30 Thursday afternoon before falling into the 20s again Friday through the weekend.

Today: Lake effect snow. High 18.

Tonight: Cold with lake effect snow. Low 2.
