ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Saturday, November 30, 2024
A cold night is ahead with lows in the teens across Michiana, but it will feel like the single digits in our southern communities. Clouds will be on the increase overnight as lake effect clouds roll back in tonight. Sunday will feature light lake effect snow, especially during the afternoon hours. Accumulations will be higher in Cass and St. Joe MI where 1-2" is possible, otherwise everyone else will see less than an inch. Sunday night appears mostly dry before winds turn more northerly which could move a heavier lake effect band potentially even over South Bend by Monday. This could bring impacts to the area and especially along US-31 during the day Monday and into Tuesday morning before it wraps up. Amounts from that band could be a few inches, but confidence is not high on amounts yet. Snow ends by Tuesday afternoon but we stay near freezing. Slightly warmer by Wednesday with a slight chance of a rain/snow mix, which will turn into more lake effect snow by Thursday as another cold shot arrives.
Tonight: Turning overcast. Low 19.
Sunday: Lake effect snow in the afternoon. High 25.
Monday: Lake effect snow. High 30.
Tuesday: Morning snow showers. High 32.
