LAGRANGE, Ind. -- Court documents from LaGrange County reveal a 54-year-old LaGrange man has been accused of sexually assaulting a victim in April.

The suspect, Lawrence Richardson, is charged with Rape, a Level 3 Felony, two counts of Sexual Battery, as Level 6 Felonies, and Battery, a Misdemeanor.

Richardson's initial hearing was Tuesday, May12.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Richardson allegedly carried the victim to his apartment bedroom where the victim stated he held her down, fondled her, and sexually assaulted her.

The victim stated she fought back by kicking him and telling him to stop as he continued the alleged assault.
