La Porte County Sheriff's Office accepting merit deputy applications

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. - The La Porte County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for merit (patrol) deputies.

Applications are on the sheriff's office website or can be picked up at the front desk of the sheriff's office.

The deadline for submitting applications is 2 p.m. on August 22.

Those who meet the required standards will be notified by letter with more instructions.

Applications can be dropped off at the front desk of the sheriff's office, mailed, or emailed.
