La Porte County Fair starts Saturday, rides start Monday

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- 2024's La Porte County Fair starts on Saturday, July 6, and goes through July 13, filled with food, rides, live entertainment, and games.

You can purchase advance ride tickets, wristbands, and mega bands through Skerbeck Entertainment Group, who will provide carnival rides from July 8 to 13.

Mega bands can be used on any day of the fair and are good for unlimited rides every day of the fair. If interested, you must purchase them before 5 p.m. on Friday, July 5, and they are limited to no more than 200 sold. They are $100 each.

The Top Gun ride requires four additional tickets plus a wristband or mega band.

There will also be other ticketed and non-ticketed events like Abraham Lincoln: A Hoosier Hero, Demolition Derbies, Sting Ray Encounter, Silly Safaris, Royal Bengal Tigers Show, Pro Rodeo, Bear Hollow Wood Carvers, and Live Shark Encounter. You can purchase tickets for these events here.

There will be live music which requires additional tickets as well. You can buy those tickets here.

On Tuesday, July 9, gates open at 6 p.m. CST for headliner, Priscilla Block, with special guest, Connor Smith, at 8 p.m. CST.

On Wednesday, July 10, gates open at 6 p.m. CST for headliner, Chris Young, with special guest, Matt Schuster, at 8 p.m. CST.

Seniors Day will be July 8, with free admission for seniors 62 and up.

Veterans Day will be July 11, with free admission for veterans and active military.

Gate admission prices:

  • Ages nine and under - Free
  • Ages 10 to 15 - $6
  • Ages 16 to 61 - $10
  • Ages 62 and up - $6

Fair officials say proof of age will be required on admission for those 62 and up.
