SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- People living along Crumstown Highway found recruitment flyers for the Klu Klux Klan at their homes Saturday. Neighbors say they recall seeing a white truck throwing out the flyers around 9 p.m. on Saturday
“I was a little irritated because I have friends of all colors and I don’t want that kind of stuff out here,” said Kevin Bargielski, who lives on Crumstown Highway. “It kind of offended me.”
Several houses along Crumstown Highway said they all found similar packages containing Klan propaganda.
“I think it’s a little ridiculous with all the things that are going on,” said Taylor Williams who also lives on Crumstown Highway. “It’s division and we don’t need more of that really.”
Williams and Bargielski both agree that these flyers have no business in their community.
“Don’t send the stuff to folks who don’t want it. Let them find you guys. We don’t want that stuff out here. It’s offensive,” said Bargielski.
