Each week, we bring you a look at Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly's goals for the upcoming game. In the first week of the season, Kelly noted the importance of staying loose and letting go of the pressure.
Against a Temple team which won 10 games both of the past two seasons, Kelly emphasized the fundamentals for his defense: stopping the run, eliminating big plays, and forcing turnovers.
Finally, Kelly said throughout fall camp he was excited to see new starting quarterback Brandon Wimbush.
Notre Dame and Temple open the season Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
