MISHAWAKA, Ind.- The Kelly Cares Foundation, with St. Joseph Health System, hosted a health screening event in Mishawaka on Thursday, October 10.
Preventative Health Screenings… Go Beyond Your Annual Mammogram! is the second event of the year for the Paqui’s Playbook Series.
It took place at the United Federal Credit Union on Main Street and offered free preventative health screenings and learning opportunities about the importance of those screenings.
Every October, during breast cancer awareness month, this special health series puts an emphasis on breast cancer awareness and health living initiatives.
Screenings which were offered included cardiac risk assessments, diabetes screenings, and mammograms.
Guests were able to schedule future mammogram screenings through the Mobile Medical Unit which was on-site for the event.
More events in this series will take place throughout the month of October.
