Jimtown Jimmies win fourth straight game defeating Tippecanoe Valley Vikings
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Jimtown Jimmies got their revenge, defeating the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings in a game that started as a defensive standoff. After a scoreless half, Jimtown broke the deadlock in the third quarter and never looked back.
In the third quarter, the Jimmies’ offense came alive. Jimmies quarterback Mason Armstrong took control, leading his team down the field. Though a few early passes fell short of the end zone, Jimtown didn’t give up.
This time, Armstrong found his target—connecting with junior Jack Kite just shy of the goal line. A quick handoff to Ty Zartman sealed the touchdown. And with a successful field goal, Jimtown put themselves up 7-0.
Jimtown’s defense continued to hold off the Vikings, ultimately securing another touchdown to stretch the lead to 14-0, securing the victory and moving 4-2 on the season.
Jimtown head coach Cody Vincent shared his thoughts on the win.
"Just a tough physical game, we knew it was going to be like that. We were hoping to get off to a fast start. It didn't really happen going into the half 0-0. Tippecanoe has got a great football program and great coaches. It was a great football game out here tonight," said Vincent.
Jimtown will face off against the Knox Redskins at home while the Vikings will hit the road to go up against the Western Panthers.
Final Score: Jimtown 14 to 0 Tippecanoe Valley.
