’Catnapping’ incident brings similar accusations to forefront
Over the past three years, the Notre Dame offensive attack relied on #87, tight end Michael Mayer.
He was Mr. Reliable for the Fighting Irish offense, playing in all 36 games and racking up over 2,000 receiving yards to go along with 18 scores.
Now that he has departed to the NFL, the Irish's talented group of pass-catchers will have to pick up the slack, and there is reason to believe they should be ready to do so.
