Indiana statewide tornado drill planned for Tuesday morning

National Weather Service

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency announced Marshall County Dispatch will be sounding the tornado sirens under the county's control at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday.

County officials say this is part of a scheduled statewide tornado drill.

If you live or work near a siren in Bourbon, Center, or Union Townships, expect to hear the siren sound.

The EMA noted while severe weather is in the forecast for Tuesday, it's not expected until the evening or overnight hours.

If you hear sirens at 10:15 a.m., it's for the test and not a real tornado warning.

If the Indiana postpones the test, the county EMA will do the same and notify the public.
