Indiana reserved hunt applications open for waterfowl, deer, gamebirds

INDIANAPOLIS - Applications for reserved hunts for the state of Indiana are now live.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced reserved hunts will be offered on properties manager by the DNR. The department listed the following as available:

  • Waterfowl hunts at participating DFWNP properties
  • Deer archery hunts at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) and participating DFWNP properties
  • Deer firearms and archery hunts at participating State Park properties
  • Deer firearms and muzzleloader hunts at Big Oaks NWR and participating DFWNP properties
    Gamebird hunts on gamebird areas in northern Indiana. Youth hunts will be offered. These hunts are not put-and-take pheasant hunts.
    IPLA hunts for waterfowl, gamebirds, deer archery, deer firearms and muzzleloader, late season deer muzzleloader and archery, squirrel, and rabbit

Applications can only be done online through the DNR's hunting portal. There will be a $1 application fee per hunt.

Hunters will be chosen through a randomized drawing.

Applicants must have valid licensure for hunts they sign up for.
