Indiana Michigan Power, Midwest Energy and NIPSCO release power restoration times

Indiana Michigan Power

Indiana Michigan Power has been working to restore power to over 41,000 customers who lost power due to Monday night's storms.

As of 4 p.m. Thursday power has been restored to most customers in Michigan. Approximately 160 customers in Michigan remain without power.

I&M says crews discovered approximately 275 broken and damaged poles, nearly 40 damaged transformers, more than 570 spans of downed wires.

Midwest Energy

Crews are restoring power to Midwest Energy & Communications customers, with about 800 still out. The largest outages are in Volinia, Newberg, and Marcellus. MEC and mutual aid crews from other utilities and contractors will continue restoration throughout the day.

NIPSCO

All available NIPSCO crews and additional contractor resources continue their work today to restore the remaining 480 customers impacted by Monday’s severe storm. NIPSCO estimates that all customers will be restored by 6 p.m. ET Thursday evening.
