SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A week dedicated to innovation and creativity officially starts Tuesday in South Bend.
IDEA Week kicks off with the launch of the new Momentum Hub downtown, followed by an Ok Go themed dance party.
Wednesday is all about hands on learning, with workshops running all day at the Community Learning Center inside the downtown South Bend library.
Thursday's finale will have keynote speakers.
"There's a lot of great entrepreneurs who are already helping it happen here and has been historically. I think that an event like this, in some ways, just reminds people of the possibilities. It reminds people that, despite the fact that times have been rough in the past, this is a great community of exciting people. We've got greater higher ed institutions here and tons of potential. We want people to walk away thinking, yes, the future is powerful. It's strong and I can do it right here and start right here," South Bend Elkhart Regional Partnership Senior Director of Entrepreneurship and Industry Innovation Marty Mechtenberg said.
Most events for the week are free, and anyone interested can register online.
