Hurricane Sandy: Indiana Michigan Power sends crews East

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Indiana Michigan Power is sending crews east to help the restoration efforts after Hurricane Sandy makes landfall. 

David Mayne, with Indiana Michigan Power told ABC 57 News Sunday night that 140 personnel and contractors have been requested from our area. 

29 line resources from South Bend, Elkhart and SW Michigan will also be headed East. 

Mayne said the crew will leave early Monday morning for West Virginia. 

Mayne also said there will be plenty of crews staying here in home in the event that we have power outages from high winds here Monday and Tuesday.
