House fire on Roosevelt Ave

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.-- Elkhart Fire was dispatched to a fire showing out the north side of the structure at 1:42 a.m. on Sept. 21 at 2716 Roosevelt Ave.

An attack line was pulled, and Squad 2 made entry into the structure.

Fire was found throughout the structure.

Three dogs were found inside of the structure and were safely taken to a neighbor’s home.

Two occupants that were in the home at the time were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

The fire was said to be accidental. 

Investigation is still ongoing.
