GRANGER, Ind. -- Kindergarten and Fourth grade classes at Horizon Elementary School are putting together and donating 300 duffle bags filled with supplies and other essentials children in foster care often go without, like books, blankets and personal hygiene items.
The program started when fourth grade teacher Julia Rulli got approval to start a yearlong service project called " Project Purpose: One School, One Purpose". Rulli later partnered with the "Safy of Indiana" a foster care agency to support children without stable permanent families.
