Hoosier couple celebrates 4th of July wedding

INDIANAPOLIS -- A Hoosier couple said "I do" Thursday as they enjoyed a "red white and blue" themed ceremony in downtown Indy.

The bride said she wanted to say her vows on the steps of the soldiers' and sailors' monument because the groom proposed during the fireworks show there.

The bride's family has been working with the fireworks crew for more than 20 years. Her mom said helping out behind the scenes has become a tradition.

"My husband, my family, my son and then Tiffany was the elevator girl.  She helped with the wiring and over time, some 20 years had passed and met Brian," said Darlene Moore.

There is no honeymoon just yet for the couple. They are too busy helping out with the fireworks show.
