Today will likely be the hottest day of the work week with temperatures expected to reach near 90 degrees. Heat indices will likely be in the low to mid 90s by the middle of today, although a light wind of 5-10 mph will help slightly. Scattered showers and storms, some of which could be strong, arrive later tonight around 10/11 PM ET and end just after morning commute Wednesday. Tomorrow will be our first chance of seeing severe weather in some time with possible severe weather expected between 5 PM and 10 PM. All threats are on the table, but localized flooding and straight-line winds are the main concern. A few showers last into Thursday morning, but otherwise the day is quiet.
Today: Partly cloudy. High 88.
Tonight: Scattered storms. Low 68.
Wednesday: Scattered storms High 84.
Thursday: AM clouds, PM sun. High 79.
