Hammes Bookstore holds a holiday open house

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- With students and staff heading home for the holidays, Notre Dame opened their doors to the community, Saturday.

Hammes Bookstore on campus had a holiday open house. Kids were invited to decorate cookies and spend some time with Santa.

Notre Dame believes it's important to connect with the community and make customers feel more comfortable.

Father Jenkins even made a special appearance. He read Christmas stories to the kids.
