Mike Braun officially sworn in as Indiana’s 52nd Governor
WARSAW, Ind - Plug and Play is based in Silicon Valley, which is known for its massive tech companies like Google and Microsoft, and is a huge get for Warsaw and Michiana.
Wednesday, the venture capital firm opened an office in Warsaw.
Its focus here is working with companies like Zimmer Biomet, Paragon Medical, and the Indiana Development Corporation to help grow the ever-growing med-tech industry.
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is thrilled Plug and Play is establishing roots in Warsaw and hopes to introduce more locations all over the state.
“We want to be in Indiana, we want to go to pioneer the future with these guys… What's so encouraging to me is Hoosier hearts and hands are part of improving and saving lives and that's something we should all be proud of," said Governor Holcomb.
The founder of Plug and Play says they’ve been spending time on campuses in Indiana, such as Notre Dame, IU, and Purdue to recruit talent.
They were also looking at 10 to 12 startups Wednesday afternoon, some even coming from the other Warsaw in Poland and cities around the world.
