Godzilla Fest and Godzilla look-alike contest at St. Joe County Public Library

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Joe County Public Library announced, in celebration of Godzilla Day and the 70th anniversary of Japan's famous monster, they will host Godzilla Fest on Sunday, Nov. 3, from 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Community members are invited to a free screening of the 1954 film in the Community Learning Center's Leighton Auditorium.

Attendees are encouraged to put on their best Godzilla costume and enter the look-alike contest as part of the icon's birthday celebration.

Godzilla Fest is organized by the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies at the University of Notre Dame, the St. Joseph County Public Library, and the Browning Cinema at Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.
