GNC to close up to 900 stores in mall locations

GNC General Nutrition Center, Photo Date: 09/13/2014 (CNN)—Officials announced Monday that GNC will close up to 900 stores in mall locations.
The vitamin and supplement store’s chief financial officer said the company would likely cut the number of stores in malls by half.
GNC has about 4,100 locations in the United States.
Company records show that about 200 stores have already closed during the first six months of 2019.
