ATLANTA, Ga. -- Georgia Tech announced Thursday that starting quarterback Haynes King is out for Saturday's game against Notre Dame due to an upper body injury sustained in the win over North Carolina.
The injury will impact the Yellow Jackets' offensive strategy, as King is a dual-threat quarterback similar to Notre Dame's Riley Leonard.
Backup quarterback Zack Pyron, who has been with Georgia Tech since 2022, is expected to start in King's place. Pyron has appeared in all seven games this season and has one passing touchdown and four rushing touchdowns.
