Four juveniles arrested for allegedly breaking into Milford home

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- Four juveniles were taken into custody for allegedly breaking into a residence in the 300 block of Williams Street on Friday, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.

Officers with the Milford Police Department responded to the home Friday to investigate a break-in.

When the officer arrived, three suspects fled the residence, but a fourth was taken into custody inside the house.

A canine unit from Winona Lake Police Department arrived and alerted to a vehicle allegedly driven to the scene by one of the suspects that fled the scene, deputies said.

Inside the vehicle, marijuana, paraphernalia and a large number of tools were located, deputies said.

Milford Police requested the assistance of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

During the investigation, a male juvenile suspect returned to the scene and was taken into custody.

Deputies said the tools were stolen from Old Road 30 east earlier in the spring.

Charges have been forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor and Probation Department on all four juveniles, which include:

  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of paraphernalia
  • Fleeing law enforcement
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Theft

This case was investigated by the following departments: Milford Police Department, Winona Lake Police Department, Syracuse Police Department, and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
