Former Thunderbird pilot Michelle Curran to speak at IUSB on April 24

SOUTH BEND, Ind -- Former U.S. Air Force Thunderbird lead solo and combat pilot turned author and inspirational speaker, Michelle "Mace" Curran, will be speaking at IUSB on April 24.

Curran is a former F-16 fighter jet combat pilot in the U.S. Air Force and later became a member of the Air Force's Thunderbird Demonstration Team.

She is well known for being the only female demo pilot on the Thunderbird team from 2019-2021 and is also only the second woman to ever fly the challenging lead solo role.

She now works as an entrepreneur and author to help share her story and insights on discipline, teamwork, and committing to excellence.

Curran's presentation is free to attend, open to the public, and will take place in Room 1011 of the Education and Arts building at 3 p.m.
