BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Former Michigan Congressman Fred Upton, a Republican, crossed party lines to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris.

“I’ve split my ticket in the past, but I’ve never voted for a Democrat for president until now.” stated Upton.

The former congressman from Berrien County spoke with ABC57 News on Thursday about his decision.
