SBCSC confirms absence of Adams' head football coach
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Community School Corporation confirmed Monday that John Adams High School head football coach Frank Karczewski is currently away from the team, right before the Indiana Sectional Playoff Game for Adams.
The district would not say why the move was made.
The Eagles have a playoff game coming up on Friday, but for now, Coach Karczewski remains away from the team.
Karczewski is in his fifth season as head coach, and while he's away, assistant coach Craig Redman will be running things.
Karczewski is an Adams graduate, as well as a teacher at the high school.
The Eagles' playoff game is on Friday against Concord, and Adams had just eclipsed the five-win mark in a season for the first time in 10 years.
The district would not say the reason for Karczewski's sudden departure, however, in the last few days, pictures have emerged on social media, allegedly showing Karczewski using the app Snapchat, and sending photos of himself in a suggestive pose.
