First winter storm: Air travel

The first winter storm of the season is affecting flights in Chicago and South Bend. Chicago is reporting delays of up to two hours and some flights out of South Bend are cancelled.

With Christmas just a few days away, the South Bend Airport says they expect to see a lot of travelers over the next couple of days.

About three flights were cancelled Thursday because of the rain and high winds and just about every flight has been delayed.

Airport officials say the best thing for you to do as the weather gets worse is to call your airline before you leave the house to see about delays and cancellations.
