BERTRAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Seven fire departments responded to a residential fire on South Red Bud Trail Wednesday morning, according to Berrien County Dispatch.
Officials say reports of the fire came in shortly after 7 a.m.
No one was injured in the fire but four residents lived at the home, according to the chief of the Bertrand Township Fire Department.
The flames were difficult to battle because of weather conditions and the fire being on multiple floors, crews said.
The road was closed between Buffalo and Curran roads while crews worked at the scene. It has since been reopened.
Just after noon, the fire was completely put out.
