SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Fire Department reports that units were called to the South Bend Ethanol plant on Calvert Street just before 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday for a fire.
Officials confirm that a corn dryer caught on fire and started the blaze.
The fire was contained in approximately an hour after fire units were called and the scene is now clear, officials say.
