Fire breaks out in backyard camper trailer Wednesday morning

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart County Dispatch confirmed to ABC57 News fire crews responded to a fire on Plainfield Drive in Osolo Township after a call came in around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.
Cleveland Township Fire Department reports they responded to aid initial crews from the Osolo Township Fire Department who were fighting the camper and trailer fire in the backyard of a home.
Osolo crews were able to stretch lines to the backyard and extinguish the fire quickly.
No injuries were reported, and the fire did not spread to any homes.
The caller reported the incident as a fire or explosion.
A neighbor and witness to the fire, Mike Martinez, stated, "I just heard an explosion this morning, about eight o'clock, looked out the window, saw a big plume of smoke, and walked in my backyard, and I saw a travel trailer burning a cargo trailer. And next thing I know, I called 911, and she said it's already been reported. And then next thing I know, there's eight, nine fire trucks out here. And you know, they went back there, and they put it out. I heard three or four explosions."
Fire officials say the incident remains under investigation.
