ATLANTA, Ga. -- Mitch Jeter has had an up-and-down year with Notre Dame this season, largely due to an injury he sustained earlier in the season, but since the Irish have started their playoff run, Jeter has been clutch, even kicking the game-winning field goal against Penn State to send the Irish to the national championship.
Mitch credits a large part of his mental and physical strength to his father, Dr. Andrew Jeter.
Jeter made one extra point in the championship game and missed his only field goal attempt.
